Manual Handling Training Course

Excel Safety Services Ireland provides this manual handling training course, which trains participants how to avoid lifting to avoid back injuries and unnecessary accident and therefore reduce absenteeism.

This manual handling training course complies with  HSA and Fetac standards.

To comply with current Health and Safety legislation, SHW at Work (General App) Regulations 2007, Part 2 Workplace and Work Equipment, Chapter 4 “Manual Handling of Loads” and Amendment Regulations 2007, all staff engaged in manual handling must be given training in safe manual handling techniques..
In organisations today we need to look after the health safety and wellbeing of their people.

Staff engaged in manual handling tasks are required to receive training in assessment of loads and how to lift and handle loads safely. Due to the wide variety of manual handling tasks, it is difficult to set down a specific training course which in content or duration would be appropriate for all situations. The course content will include both instructions and training that is customised to meet your manual handling needs.

This course will show your staff how to carry out lifting, moving, pushing and pulling tasks correctly and therefore avoid back injuries. By training your staff how to conduct themselves safely you are complying with your legal requirements. Back injuries caused by incorrect  lifting techniques are one of the most frequent causes of workers compensation claims.
